Ross and Kentfield are two of the most upscale towns in Marin County and are considered two of the best places to live in California. Living in Ross or Kentfield provides a small-town feel with very quaint restaurants, coffee shops and parks. The towns have direct access to the incredibly beautiful Mt. Tamalpais Watershed area which includes Phoenix Lake, Lake Lagunitas, and Bon Tempe Lake. Located off Sir Francis Drake Blvd, west of the 101 freeway, the commute to/from San Francisco is longer than other areas. Homes have generally been in families for years, are large in size, and many have pools and highly manicured gardens. The public schools in these two areas are top notch.
